"I think Modi can try a clean-shaven look. I think you (men) all look good. It might just, I don't know, look better," the Bollywood diva here told reporters on the sidelines of the 'Unshaven is Unbathed' Movement, which was organised by Gillette.
Asked if bearded men like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Modi aren't attractive, Chitrangada said, "See if you are a Sikh and there's certain amount of religious reasons for you to keep beard or the hair. Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has been a constant feature in 'Dhoom' series, says he is the hero of the film which could not have been made without him and co-star Uday Chopra.
In the third installment of 'Dhoom' series, Abhishek and Uday are reprising their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar, respectively, while actors Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif form the antagonist duo.
"...Dhoom is my film and I am the hero. Nobody can take that away from me. You can be the biggest or the smallest star but 'Dhoom' is about Jai and Ali. It is as simple as that. If the characters of Jai and Ali are not there in 'Dhoom', the film won't be there," Abhishek said in an interview here.
There were reports that Abhishek was not happy with the way the film was being promoted. "You should ask the people who decide the marketing strategy which evidently isn't me. It is my film and wherever they ask me to come I will. Obviously, I want to stand by it. If they feel there are certain events where they don't want me to be around, what can I do about that. Do I feel bad for it?..No, I don't give attention to these things," he said.
Aamir Khan, who plays the baddie in 'Dhoom 3', seems to have been following the mantra of less is more as far as promotions are concerned. And Abhishek agrees with it considering 'Dhoom' is a popular franchise in itself.
"I think it matters from case to case. In a film like 'Dhoom', I think it doesn't need any stars. It doesn't need Aamir, me and Uday. 'Dhoom' has become a franchise in itself, you can have newcomers and it will do great," Abhishek said.
Abhishek said 'Dhhom' has become a brand in itself and there is no need to go out and promote the film aggressively.
With the focus this time more on Aamir, Junior Bachchan does not feel sidelined, as he is a constant feature in the film.
"Why should I feel sidelined?..I am in the film, you can't take me out. The audience doesn't care whose film it is. Till date, one of the greatest film was 'Amar Akbar Anthony' where you had all the big heroes dad, Vinod Khanna, Rishi
Kapoor and others...It was everybody's film," Abhishek said.
Walking down the memory lane, Abhishek said, 'Dhoom' was his first successful film and he made some wonderful friends.
"When we started Dhoom nobody thought it will be this monster that it is today. At that time, we were trying something new. I remember that time Adi saying to redefine the action genre, lets make it cool and make something young, have bikes and nice songs. Nobody knew that it is going to have a sequel. It has always been fun to be working on this franchise," the actor said.
When his attention was drawn to Uday Chopra's comment that 'Dhoom 3' would be his last film as an actor, Abhishek said he will convince his actor friend if the fourth part in this hit franchise were to be made.
"Uday had stopped acting since quite some time. It was in 2010 when he took the decision to move to LA and become producer. He has just come here to do 'Dhoom 3' because the character Ali is close to his heart. If 'Dhoom 4' happens, I will get him to do it," Abhishek added.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan, who was recently in the Tamil Nadu capital for the opening ceremony of the 11th Chennai Film Festival (CIFF), took out some time to spend with veteran Tamil filmmaker K Balachander, who wished him luck for his forthcoming release "Dhoom 3".
"It was a courtesy meeting. KB sir and Aamir chatted for about thirty minutes and recalled their last meeting at an awards ceremony in Chennai. He wished Aamir for the release of 'Dhoom 3' and also congratulated his work on the television show 'Satyamev Jayate'," Balachander's agent said.
The duo had last met in 2008 at the Gollapudi Memorial Award ceremony here. That year, Aamir was presented the award for his directorial project "Taare Zameen Par" which dealt with dyslexia in children.
"Aamir kept talking about KB sir's speech at the Gollapudi Award ceremony. He had told him that he had had recorded that video and he keeps showing it to his friends in the industry," he added.

Usually, the rise of a common man against evil always results in violence and the immediate formation of an overnight leader. But our common man, played by Vikram Prabhu, is well read, comes from a decent middle class family, is currently job hunting and prefers to use brains over brawn when he has to handle a situation.
This common man is aware of the repercussions he might have to face for his actions and therefore always operates alone and in disguise. This is the story of an intelligent common man, someone you seldom see in society but are aware of his existence.
A barbaric act in a law college provoked by a local minister makes headlines which catch the attention of our hero, Guna, who at first hardly pays any attention and instead laughs at the comments posted on the video from the incident on his friend's Facebook wall.
Guna is constantly reminded of the incident over the next few days, forcing him to do the unthinkable, and results in the inevitable. He kidnaps the local minister's brother, Eeswaran, who has come out on parole and instigates the opposition party to accuse the minister of hiding his own brother. Following the disappearance of his brother, the minister is forced to resign and is arrested.
Having succeeded in putting the minister behind bars, Guna lets go of Eeswaran who sets out to seek revenge.
We have seen several stories of the common man turning into a hero and a leader in Tamil cinema, but this film, although confining itself to commercialism, tries something different. 'Ivan Vera Mathiri' literally translates into "He is Different", and the film indeed is different. Sadly however, not to a great degree. As initially pointed out, it's intelligent but also has instances that make it look dumb.
The entire episode of Guna taking Eeswaran captive is intelligently executed, is engaging and makes you almost empathise with the latter's predicament. It's another story of good versus evil that's spared the cliched treatment but somewhere towards the end it gets sabotaged by a disturbing climax, especially scenes featuring Surabhi being kicked in the face and gut.
I wish the climax wasn't handled so recklessly.
Director Sarvanan uses some key characters aptly to push our protagonist to rise to the occasion following the incident in the opening scene. But what I fail to understand is how can just another average common man turn out to be a good fighter who could pull off some extremely dangerous stunt sequences with ease.
Here, the film's stunt choreographer Raja Sekhar deserves a special mention. The stunt atop an incomplete building definitely stands out and some road chase sequences also draw equal attention. The fights draw more attention than the music and acting put together while the cinematography at some junctures is good.
I don't know if Vikram Prabhu was forced to use the same expression from start to finish but his acting didn't quite convince. It's alright if it was done deliberately but if not, then I suggest he start working on his expressions because he hardly displays any variations in his performance. Vamsi Krishna as the baddie is aggressive and acts well while debutant Surabhi can be impressive with some guidance.
Ganesh's cameo is powerful but he has more talking than action in the role of a cop. I still don't understand why cops always have to yap about being good citizens? It's so cliched and yet our filmmakers fancy that idea.
'Ivan Vera Mathiri' is a fairly different tale of a common man.
Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and his wife Sussanne have separated, ending months of speculation that their 13-year-old marriage was in trouble.
Hrithik and Sussanne, who were childhood sweethearts, tied the knot in 2000 after a four-year relationship. The couple has two sons -- Hrehaan, 7 and Hridhaan, 5.
“Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17 year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time,” Hrithik, 39, said in a statement on Friday.

New Delhi: The event began with the musical performances of playback singer Karthik and pianist Anil Srinivasan, who played some of the evergreen Tamil hits of Illayaraja to a packed hall here.
Karthik dedicated a couple of Hindi songs such as 'Behka' and 'Phela Nasha' to Aamir Khan, who attended the festival as the chief guest.

This is the fourth year in a row; CIFF has introduced a special competition section for Tamil films. Actress, writer and dubbing artist Rohini introduced the jury for this section which constitutes R. Sripriya, S. Ramakrishnan and R.V Udayakumar.
As many as 12 films such as 'Soodhu Kavvum', 'Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer', 'Haridas', 'Paradesi' and 'Kumki', among others, will battle it out for the prize money of Rs 6 lakh.
Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam, the festival organiser, mediated a question-and-answer session with Kamal Haasan, who answered select questions from different members of Tamil cine world.
Answering one of the questions by legendary singer S.P Balasubrahmanyam on the need for qualified critics in censor board, Haasan said: "I strongly feel only qualified people should be there in the censor board. Industry should take responsibility of censorship."
"The people we have on our censor board are not qualified. They like cinema, they may be watching films regularly but that doesn`t make them experts. All political parties want one of their members to be part of the censor board and that`s wrong," Kamal added.
Aamir spoke about the need for a chain of theatres to screen international films in the country.
"I sometimes wish in India we had a chain of theatres which would throughout the year showcase films from different parts of the world. Even films from different parts of our country, films from different languages which we could all get to watch," he said.
The festival was also graced by international film personalities from other countries including Serbia, France, Iran, Ukraine, Poland, and Mexico.
This year, CIFF will have retrospectives of international filmmakers such as Goran Paskaljevic from Serbia (seven films), French filmmaker Claire Denis (five films) and Istvan Szabo from Hungary (three films).
The festival will also have a special section showcasing six films from contemporary Turkey apart from a country focus on Taiwan and Iran as well.
Japanese drama 'Like Father, Like Son' opened the fest.
